March 1st 2018, found me at the Spring reopening of one of my favorite greenhouses ~ hunting for a Hydrangea standard for the garden.
Success!
It was planted in the back garden later that same month, surrounded by boxwoods & yews.
There it flourished even with our hot dry summer.
Producing more blooms than I'd anticipated for a first year planting.
Now, the biggest test of all ~ how it fares thru our harsh winter weather....
It looks like you got a winner! I'll bet it will make it through the winter just fine. :)
