Wow - still so much green in your gardens,....and blooms! I only have roses left. I've seen your neighbors board at Hobby Lobby and loved it but it was too big for inside....what a great idea to take it outside! Another fantastic blog!

It *is* still very green where you are! Your hawthorn has fall color? (Color me jealous.) What kind is it? Hawthorns grow wild here (green and parsley leaf) but I haven't seen them change color. I grew cup and saucer vine one year and didn't get any flowers either. It seems to take them a very long time to bloom.

I have been meaning to add Solomon's Seal to my garden for a while. You've convinced me!

Wow, your garden is much more interesting than mine right now. We're firmly into the grays and browns now. That Cup and Saucer foliage and bud look like a Sweat Pea bloom. Very pretty!

Isn't it wonderful how fall does linger on? That way the transition to winter isn't so rough!

Hi Kathleen, So true- there is always lots we need to be grateful for. I have had waxbells in the garden for just a year and have really come to love them. The flowers are almost like berries and the foliage on the arching stems is really quite attractive.
