When it comes to the weather, I think spring should be the season named after "flip flops." Nothing to do with footwear, just the crazy fluctuations between warm & cold temperatures.
A week ago it was the former, (which everyone knows I prefer) & out popped the Winter Aconites (Eranthis hyemalis:)
snowdrops:
and plenty of bulb foliage:
This week it flipped decidedly back to winter:
ugh.
The Robins & I are waiting for sunnier days.
I hope it won't be too long....
p.s. Thank you all for your continued kind messages & support. It's so nice to log on & find them.
You are right about the flip flop weather. You good a lot of new snow. It is snowing like crazy here now and I am just wishing it was all gone. LOL! Poor little Robin looks cold. Beautiful shot Kathleen.

Hi, Kathleen! How are you doing? We received a little snow today. Beautiful. It won't last long (encouraging). Lol. Hope you're enjoying a nice weekend!

Flip-Flop is what we have here, too. Just when I think spring has arrived, winter sets in again! I'm in Mississippi - the Sunny South - snow flurries yesterday and below freezing temps forecast for tonight. When its this cold at the end of March here in the south, I shudder think of the weather in the north.
Okay, enough fussing, lets count our blessings. We've not yet had tornados, hurricanes, or earthquakes!

Hi Kathleen, I have been thinking of you! We've been experiencing a lot of flip-flopping too, on an almost daily basis. No snow, but 20 degree swings in temps.
Beautiful picture of the winter aconite!

Hi Kathleen: Sorry for the delay in commenting -- I was out of town last week. How sweet that you've had blooms already. I'm still waiting on mine. But I think we're on the right track, with 50s predicted for Easter weekend. Yay! This spring has been the exact opposite of last year. But it's probably better for the plants (except my bushes that the rabbits are eating--ugh). Happy Spring!

Love the flip flop analogy! We don't have any signs of Spring, but keep flipping to really cold temperatures just when I think we may start thawing! Love all your photos!
