The 2012 planting scheme was pastel-themed, with the idea that pink & yellow would complement the seafoam color of the vintage barrow.
Along the way, a wayward pop of orange somehow managed to squeeze its way in??
Maybe not all bad ~ could have been a bit too boring without it?????
A combination of Pink Pentas, Nasturiums, & Zinnias make up the planting mix.
It was an effort to best the zinnia & lantana duo that's been repeated the past three years.
I think however; I'll be reverting to the original format (once again) next year.
Because (although this combination is okay) why mess with success?? Lantana & zinnias together are just too difficult to beat.....
Why mess with success indeed!!

You've totally convinced me to plant Lantana next year. I've been thinking about it ever since my trip to New Orleans, but now I'm convinced. And your combination is mystically beautiful!

Oh I think it is just lovely Kathleen. I love the combination of plants and that spot of orange does make it pop.

Kathleen this is so pretty. I passed on a vintage wheelbarrow a few years ago and have regretted it ever since.

I love that wheelbarrow and your planting is lush and gorgeous.
