Pretty pictures only.
I realized last night what's been stopping me from blogging (as much) ~ no time to write.
Since taking photos is never a problem, I thought I shouldn't let that hold up the blog...
My coffee cup and a sprig of roses ~ a common sight during the summer ~
I set my cup down to do one little thing then come back many minutes later to cold coffee.
Sound familiar??
Lately, roses accompany the cup since I've been cutting them to bring indoors.
or to stick on my nose while I'm reading a book!
Clematis texensis 'Duchess of Albany:'
in full (might I add ~ spectacular) bloom. A favorite clematis shape & color...
Clematis texensis 'Gravetye Beauty' is also in bloom but not photographed (you've seen it so many times before anyway, right?? It's a red version of 'Duchess of Albany')
A small collection of containers on my back patio:
and one on my front patio:
the one above is a new favorite being made of stacked flagstone rectangles.
Very cool (and heavy!)
ooooh, that was easy ~ short & sweet ~ maybe I could do this more often??
A perfect post. Your coffee cup fits right in the garden with those lovely roses. Hope all is well and you are enjoying the garden this summer. Dry here too. So very terrible. No fires though. Stay safe.

Your gardens must be wonderful to sit in and enjoy a cup of coffee. Love the rose.

What beautiful shots as always Kathleen. Your Duchess of Albany clematis is just so pretty this year. Mine is so slow and I am wondering if it will even bloom this year. May have something to do with moving it again. LOL!

That's so interesting--I'm finding that the cropping, watermarking, and posting of photos is what's holding me back. I love doing it, but it seems so time-consuming. I never used to add a watermark, but with Pinterest I want to draw traffic back to my blog. Writing never takes much time for me--except to match the words appropriately with the photos. ;-)

Hi Kathleen, I get distracted in the garden as well.
You always show such pretty accessories and pots in your posts. I have watering cans, birdhouses etc. yet I never think to show them. No idea why. Anyway, I always enjoy the pretty little items you photograph. The tiny urn is my favourite in this post.
