Normal for me in February but worse this year because of the continual news coverage about the "winter that never was." What??
Everything in my garden is white:
and HAS BEEN since October (for the most part ~ January provided a little relief.)
I run the risk of being considered monotonous and a bore if I perseverate much more but let's just say it's been a loooonnng five months.
Half the fifteen days of February have brought snow and colder than normal temps ~ oh wait, I said I was done complaining....
Okay, I'm done now. Bible...
Instead I'll try to focus on the pink phal orchid, still blooming in the greenhouse/bathroom, instead of the snow encrusted landscape outside:
and view the glass as half full ~ we're partway to March right?
Surely it will warm up in March. Even here. Won't it????
It looks like a bird's face in the center of your orchid! It is a bright spot in your white world. brrrr

I apologize for all of us experiencing a mild winter and talking about it all the time. ;-) Actually, no Snowdrops or Daffodils here yet, but I have a feeling they're ready under the snow. Your Orchid took my breath away, Kathleen! Sigh.

You have had a pile of snow Kathleen. We have had a couple small snows this month as compared to January too. Hopefully it will all be melted soon now. Love your Orchid. What a beautiful pink.

I do sympathise. I have had enough of our cold which is no where near as cold as yours. It is hard to be positive and find things to blog about when you cant get outside much. Cheer up, wont be long now

Oh Kasey, I so get what you are talking about! Winter is the pits. Our winter has been milder than usual, but lots of rain, so it has been gray, gray, gray. But behold, my Siberian iris is in bloom, a full month early. Let the rejoicing begin! Your spring will be here soon, just hang on.
