can stop spring from rolling along, even when the gardener questions it. Looking around, it's obvious spring has sprung. The bed under the aspen trees is awash with color:
as is the back corner bed anchored by the giant bleeding heart:
Out front a pair of yellow tulips flank 'ocean magic' muscari with a peach hyacinth blooming in the background:
By the pond 'Miller's crimson' primula japonica is beginning to bloom:
and buds have appeared on the Virginia bluebells:
It's hard to believe it was 39 degrees yesterday and hailing! At least the little bletilla striata bulbs blooming in the "greenhouse" are protected:
Our normal last frost-free date is Mother's Day weekend so it better warm up fast!
Your garden is looking so beautiful this spring Kathleen. I love your Crimson primula and the yellow tulips. Have a wonderful week.

It's so pretty there right now! I love the primula and how the flowers look under the Aspen tree. I can't wait to see what you're doing in your backyard! Post pictures soon.
If you can believe it, they are saying we have a chance for some snow here tomorrow. Seems like it's been a very strange spring for lots of places.

Oh what I would give for hail or rain or just cooler temperatures. It is definitely spring here but we have summer temperatures now for a number of weeks and no rain.
I do love the freshness of spring flowers and your photos make them look really fresh

Love your spring blooms, Kathleen! Isn't this just the craziest spring weather??? Speaking of the last frost date, my spring vegetable garden is nowhere near producing anything and I'm supposed to replace it with summer vegetables in less than a month? I don't think so! You're right, it better warm up soon. Don't you wish you could control the weather?

Your spring blossoms are lovely Kathleen. Despite the harsh spring, nature perseveres. :)
