is one of the final Amaryllis to bloom in my collection. (I have one more, 'Razzle Dazzle,' but it's not quite open yet.)
'Dancing Queen' joined the group last year when I thought I was purchasing 'Aphrodite.' I wonder why it's so hard to keep bulb labels straight?? Oh well, she's a beauty so no way I could be too upset about the mix-up.
'Dancing Queen' is the "frilliest" of all my double Amaryllis. It seems like she has more petals than any of the others for some reason or maybe that's just my imagination?
Doesn't it look like there are layers and layers of them??
Completely off topic but very pertinent, today is the start of the GBBC ~ it will be my second year participating (I hope I can remember to count more than one day!) If you're interested, click the link above to download instructions and/or regional bird checklists. It's pretty easy and doesn't take very much time. I'm not anticipating seeing anything unusual but it would be nice if that happened!
Kathleen she is so pretty. I love all the petals. You have such a wonderful collection of them. Have a wonderful weekend.

She is really pretty, I love the closeups!
We started out count today, and I'm hoping I'll remember to this weekend too. Not too many visitors today, mostly lots of Robins.

That first photo is stunning. This is a gorgeous flower, Is Razzle Dazzle this pretty? With a name like that I am guessing so.

That ones a real looker, all fluffy and ruffles. It will be awhile yet before mine bloom, only foliage so far, but then again, I started late.

That really is a stunning flower - I'm not very good at growing Amarylis

Kathleen, I think you might have the best amaryllis collection. They all look stunning in your photos, too. But, Dancing Queen is a frilly beauty! gail

"Frilly" is the perfect description for this gorgeous flower. Thanks for sharing Kathleen.
