Oh yeah. You did not read that wrong!! I am beside myself ~ it's the first time ever for me to have blooms of any kind in January (in Colorado). Look who surprised me:
How amazing is that?
Thank goodness for snowdrops. I've had so much going on ~ none of it fun ~ I really needed a surprise like this to perk me up.
I know I can make it thru the rest of the winter now. No doubt about it. Because, when the snow comes again, I'll know there are beautiful, pristine white blooms underneath it. :-)
I hope to be back in the swing of blogging soon. I've been working on a pruning post (not nearly as exciting as todays discovery) that I hope to finish soon. I also need to make some rounds and see what's going on in your gardens. Maybe you've made some wonderful discoveries of your own??
Your Snowdrops are beautiful and how exciting for you. Nothing that exciting happening here. Or at least not near that pretty. I did see some green coming up that I think are my Naked Ladies and if that is so then I'll really be anxious to see them.

Snowdrops are so sweet and they come up at a time when they are most welcomed.
Looking forward to your pruning post. Taught a pruning class with another MG who is also an arborist. I LIKE pruning!

Kathleen, I enjoy pleasant surprises too! I need to plant snowdrops in my garden so I can enjoy them next year too! Carolyn, over at Carolyn's shade gardens blog has some beautiful images of snowdrops posted on her blog. She's quite obsessed with them actually and has many varities.

Kathleen, that is amazing! All my garden is still covered in snow, but I'm anxiously awaiting my first blossom, whether it be snowdrop, hellebore and crocus!
