I think it is good to know the names, as your collection grows so you can tell who is whom when they are out of bloom. Lasko is so dark, a real handsome fellow! :-)

Wow is it ever pretty! It almost has a metallic look to it. Lucky you!

Sweet Bay

That is a gorgeous orchid!! I love the colors and the sheen.

These photographs are the work of art, Kathleen!

Shady Gardener

Kathleen, That was fun. :-) I'm assuming it's called a Slipper Orchid because it looks like the native wildflower called Lady Slipper. It's gorgeous. You have a very nice brother!

Hi Kathleen,

My favorite part is the beautiful black striping against the scarlet background. It is amazing!

Kathleen

Thanks for all the nice comments everybody. Now a couple from me!

Jen ~ no fragrance. Bummer, huh? That would truly make it perfection.

and Ha Frances. Naming the orchids would mean I was going to start a collection! I'm trying to restrain myself from that!! lol Think I can do it??

Yes, Shady Gardener, I do have a very nice brother. Love him!

Janet
