I may have mentioned on Bloom Day that I had a variety of daffodils blooming right now? If not, I'll say it now and add that I think they are actually at their peak. So many pretty nodding yellow, white and mixed color blooms I thought we could spend a moment looking at a few more. You'll appreciate the effort more knowing I was dodging rain drops to capture images!
For some reason, I group different varieties together ~ this one with the orange trumpets can be found in the backyard under the aspen trees. I thought there was something appealing about their drooping, dripping heads. After taking the group photo, I singled one of them out for a close up:
Right next to them is a group of smaller yellow and orange daffs. One of the blooms was facing straight up to the sky ~ so different than all the others ~ I had to take its photo:
If it stays facing up, that trumpet will be like a birdbath with all the rain! The next couple of shots I took along the side pathway garden. I couldn't resist the bud with all the raindrops clinging to it:
I "think" this is a King Alfred variety but I'm not positive. We'll see when it opens. The final bloom I photographed yesterday was my white 'Mount Hood' daffodil:
Most of these daffodils will be done blooming shortly (making way for the tulips) so I'm glad I got outside with my camera. The rain is changing to snow as I type ~ I better run out and cut a bouquet rather than let the snow disfigure them. Happy Friday everyone. Hope it's sunnier where you are than it is here!
You have more varieties than I do. Temperatures suddenly reaching the 70's here. Mine will blow very quickly and be gone for another year.

They look so pretty with raindrops, I like the one facing the sky. Is it really supposed to snow? I hope it warms up and dries out for you!

We had a nice, bright sunny day here. More of the same in store for tomorrow. I've got my fingers crossed for some rain here for Sunday. At this point I'd even be happy with some *gulp* snow. We need the moisture.
Great photos. I need to get some daffodils to plant for next spring.

Kathleen...I love when alike Daffs are planted together! It looks less chaotic...guess how mine are planted!
Chaos! Ahem....clown pants! We had one daff (and it looked exactly like the one you have photographed) with the cup facing up! Too funny. Enjoy your spring, enjoy your rain and have a sweet weekend! gail
