About this time every year I start to stress about how many days are left to send out holiday cards. Most of the stress comes because of my preference to send a photo card and although I use my camera every single day, it's not often I'm in front of the lens. Now you see the problem. Here we are, on December 6th, and there has been no family photo shoot yet! You'd think I'd learn after all these years to not put this off till the last minute.
There is always the option to forego the photo card & send a handmade card instead ~ like the ones in this holiday set I recently had published:
The holiday bird tags (by Cavallini & Co,) you might remember seeing on the blog last year? They were so beautiful I couldn't resist incorporating them into some designs.
Sometimes, with all the various methods of staying connected, I wonder if the tradition of mailing Christmas cards is outdated? But then they start showing up in my mailbox and I'm thrilled to receive them. I guess that means I better keep sending them out? How does everyone else feel about this subject? and how are you doing on getting yours mailed? I hope better than I am!
I think your cards are fabulous, but I have said that before. I agree with you about enjoying opening the mailbox and having cards from friends. Last year we didn't end up getting cards out....too much going on, so REALLY need to this year.

I too think that cards are on the way out, and it will all be e-cards in the future, or video cards or something else. But since I like receiving snail mail cards, I continue to send them...for now.

I love receiving the cards. Yes, it's good to get them via e-mail - but I love the "bird in the hand!" So, for that reason, I'll continue to send them. You might consider the fact that a card and photo are also a gift. :-) Happy times during these next few weeks, Kathleen!

I love your cards. I for one think email cards are so impersonal. I like sending and receiving cards. I think people are worth more than the price of a stamp and writing a few personal lines.

I'm thinking of not sending cards this year and I'm feeling guilty about it. Most of the people I send them to I see on Christmas day or near to Christmas. I will send a special card to my parents, even though I will see them. I will send a card to a cousin undergoing cancer treatment and her sister who is taking care of her. But I seriously think I won't send out other cards.
