while they're still center stage. Isn't it funny how we can afford to give each little bulb it's day of glory in spring? For me, there's little else in the garden to photograph yet, unless you want to see endless shot after endless shot of emerging perennial foliage. I didn't think so. Predicting your response, I snapped these shots for our enjoyment before they're covered in snow again. Yes, that's right ~ we're forecasted to receive another 5 - 12 inches of snow tonight thru tomorrow. grump, grump, grump and for good measure, a little more grump. You probably won't hear from me if it really happens, I'll be wallowing in self pity...
Before the wallowing begins, let's stick our heads in the sand and pretend tomorrow will be another repeat of glorious yesterday:
Above: pretty little striped crocus sharing a space with even daintier Eranthis. Below: zooming in and cutting Eranthis out of the shot (sorry dude):
I liked the fuzzy lamb's ear foliage in the foreground ~ what do you think?
A different crocus and an even tighter shot:
I feel just like they do: when the sun is shining, I want to stretch out and soak up every ray. When it's not, I feel like closing myself in and hibernating. Life mimics nature, does it not?!! If you should happen to hear about snow in Colorado, you'll know which I'm doing....
MORE snow Kathleen??? So sorry to hear that. I'm whining when the high is below 60 degrees.......
So grump away, no one will blame you.
I agree, bulbs are IT in the spring, aren't they?

Wonderful photos! It is nice to have the time to enjoy each new flower as it emerges in spring. Once the riotous summer season is in full swing, it's a bit different.

I'd curl up and hibernate too if there was 5-12" of snow outside. Beautiful shots of the crocus.

Oh my...I did hear about the snow expected in Colorado. Maybe you can visualize how wonderful the weather will be in one month? I visited Denver one summer and just fell in love with the beauty of the landscape.

Hello Kathleen girl !
My bulbs are peeking through the soil but it is going to be a long process with the weather being almost more menopausal than I am ? LOL

Kathleen I saw the weather forecast for you this morning, hoping it doesn't happen!
I love your pictures of the Crocus, you really captured all the different colors and textures. It is interesting how the Crocus closes and open with the sun.

Your snow made the national news this morning. I feel your pain:)
It's been a long month visiting blogs all during March and feeling like the forgotten ones here in the north where the winter never ends. Finally, our weather is, if not better than, at least not worse than my friend in Colorado.
It will probably be over quick and the little crocus will be waiting under that snow.
