Marnie

I really like it. I wish I could find mushrooms like those. Very cute.

Fun addition to the garden. No debate there. I love whimsy and who knows-maybe the fairies only come to play when we are not watching?:)

gail

Kathleen, I say go for it! I think it is adorable whimsy...and the fairies will surely use the lily of The Valley flowers as
hats or ring them for calling a fairy gathering.

Of course I am not at all surprised that you know the Ogdens' books. ... how very exciting that you live near them and can take a class! Yes, I would love to take one of their design classes with you...send info and a list of hotels!

Gail

Nancy Bond

Hardly ridiculous, Kathleen. Inspired, perhaps? What a lovely place for fairies this will be.

Catherine/gardenerprogress

Love it! We have fairies in our garden and my daughter has built little stone houses for them. I love the little conservatory :)

Beckie

'I do believe in fairies, I do. I do believe in fairies, I do, I do, I do!'
We are entitled to our dreams and you have a lovely one going there.

Racquel

I think it is adorable Kathleen! How fun is that!

Kathleen

Thanks Marnie. I found those mushrooms at one of my favorite stores. It carries a variety of garden type stuff that always gets me in trouble when I visit!

Kathleen

I think you're right Tina. I wish they wouldn't be so shy!

Kathleen

That would be great fun Gail. They usually only teach in February so we've missed our chance for this year. Next winter, I'll keep you posted! and you could stay with us. :-) Although there won't be much in the garden to see at that time of year.

Kathleen

Definitely inspired by all the tiny treasures I've been seeing Nancy. Thank you.

Kathleen

oh, how sweet. Have you posted any pictures of the stone houses Catherine?? I bet they are so cute!

Kathleen

Me too Beckie!! Me too! It's fun to dream and imagine.

Kathleen

Thanks Racquel. It was fun to put together. No where near as elaborate as the display fairy gardens they have at my local nurseries but those are really amazing.

Cinj

Oh, that's a good idea. Very cute. I have a few tealight houses that would make great fairy houses, all I'd need to add would be to add some exterior paint. They're made of wood and intended for the indoors. If stuck them out there like that they'd probably rot in no time flat.

Kathleen

I know what you mean about rotting Cinj. Even tho the glass conservatory won't do that, I wonder how long I'll let it sit outside. I really like it so I don't want it completely ruined. I bet your daughter would be good at creating a fairy garden???

Shady Gardener

Kathleen, I can hardly wait to show you that we've been on the same wavelength! :-)

Kathleen

oooh, I can't wait to see either Shady Gardener! How long do I have to wait??!!
